देहरादून – भारतीय अंतरिक्ष अनुसंधान संगठन (ISRO) आज अपने मौसम उपग्रह INSAT-3DS को लॉन्च करेगा। यह लॉन्चिंग जीएसएलवी एफ14 रॉकेट से की जाएगी। इनसैट-3डीएस उपग्रह की लॉन्चिंग का उद्देश्य मौसम संबंधी और प्राकृतिक आपदाओं की सटीक जानकारी पाना है। यह लॉन्चिंग शनिवार शाम करीब 5.35 बजे आंध्र प्रदेश के श्रीहरिकोटा स्थित सतीश धवन स्पेस सेंटर से की जाएगी।

मौसम की मिलेगी सटीक जानकारी
जीएसएलवी एफ14 रॉकेट मौसम उपग्रह इनसैट-3डीएस को पृथ्वी की भूस्थैतिक कक्षा में स्थापित करेगा। इस मिशन की पूरी फंडिंग भारत सरकार के मंत्रालय पृथ्वी विज्ञान मंत्रालय ने की है। ये लॉन्चिंग अंतरिक्ष की दुनिया में भारत के बढ़ते दबदबे की दिशा में अहम कदम है। इनसैट-3डीएस सैटेलाइट समुद्र की सतह का बारीकी से अध्ययन करेगी, जिससे मौसम की सटीक जानकारी मिल सकेगी, साथ ही प्राकृतिक आपदाओं के बारे में भी ज्यादा बेहतर अनुमान लगाया जा सकेगा। जब प्राकृतिक आपदाओं की पहले ही सटीक जानकारी मिलेगी तो उन्हें रोकने के भी प्रभावी उपाय किए जाएंगे। भारतीय मौसम एजेंसियों के लिए ये मौसम उपग्रह बेहद अहम साबित होगा।
नॉटी बॉय से होगी लॉन्चिंग
इनसैट-3डीएस की लॉन्चिंग जिस रॉकेट जीएसएलवी एफ14 से होगी, उसे नॉटी बॉय भी कहा जाता है। दरअसल नॉटी बॉय इसलिए क्योंकि जीएसएलवी एफ14 का ये 16वां मिशन होगा और इससे पहले जीएसएलवी एफ14 के 40 प्रतिशत मिशन असफल हुए हैं। पिछला मिशन इसका सफल रहा था, लेकिन उससे पहले वाला मिशन असफल रहा था। इसरो ने बताया कि आज लॉन्च किया जाने वाला मौसम उपग्रह इनसैट-3डीएस साल 2013 में लॉन्च किए गए मौसम उपग्रह इनसैट -3डी का उन्नत स्वरूप है और इससे मौसम की बेहतर जानकारी मिल सकेगी।
